Jo Ann Goudie, our beloved mother was diagnosed with ALS in the spring of 1999.  As always she was an inspiration to us, through all her trials in life (she had more than her share) she never said why me?  With her biggest trial ahead of her she kept her strength of spirit and smile.

Anyone that has a family member or loved one with ALS knows that helpless feeling of not being able to save their loved one...  We as a family decided that we needed to do something; we took on the task of being the anchor family for the First Ocean City Walk to D'feet ALS.  Although we could not save our mother, we know that the awareness and money we help to raise will someday prevent another family from having to see their Mother, Father, Son, Daughter, Grandmother, Grandfather, Brother or Sister fight this devastating disease.

In November 2002 we lost our mother to ALS, our sorrow is somehow a little bit lighter knowing that she was able to "walk" with us and will walk with us each and every year in spirit.
